Awareness

 Definition(s):

To create understanding of basic BCM issues and limitations. This will enable staff to recognize threats and respond accordingly. Examples of creating such awareness include distribution of posters and flyers targeted at company-wide audience or conducting specific business continuity briefings for executive management of the organization. Awareness is less formal than training and is generally targeted at all staff.
