Hot Site


A fully operational offsite data processing facility equipped with hardware and software, to be used in the event of an information system disruption.

A Hot Site is a type of data recovery site that is set up with all of the necessary hardware and software to allow a business to resume operations quickly in the event of a disaster. It is typically located in a secure, remote location and is used to replicate data in real-time.
